Varun Dhawan‘s first mass action entertainer ‘Baby John‘ is the last big Bollywood release of the year 2024. The film had a decent advance booking before its release. There was more emphasis on spot booking and on the opening day it has done what was expected.

Directed by Kalees, this film has made a good start by doing double digit business on the first day. However, it is interesting that the all-time blockbuster ‘Pushpa 2’ was ahead of ‘Baby John’ on Wednesday despite being 21 days old.

The Wednesday of the Christmas holidays was a special day for the box office. Be it ‘Pushpa 2’, ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ or the new release ‘Baby John’, all three films were loved by the audience on December 25.

But when it came to showering the most love, Allu Arjun’s film has definitely received more love. Despite being a new release, ‘Baby John’ has suffered a little due to already strong films like ‘Pushpa 2’ and ‘Mufasa’.

‘Baby John’ Collection Day 1

‘Baby John’ has collected a net of Rs 12.50 crore in the country on the opening day. Before its release, it had earned Rs 3.52 crore from advance booking.

Obviously, the earnings from spot booking have been more. One reason for this is that the film got only three days for advance booking.

That’s why the earnings were less, ‘Baby John’ could not take advantage of the opportunity

However, being a mass movie, action film and holiday release, ‘Baby John‘ could have earned more on the first day. But this did not happen. The reason for this is that after the morning and day shows, the number of viewers did not increase much in the evening and night shows.

The reason is that the film has received a mixed response from the audience. In such a situation, when the initial word of mouth is mixed, it is difficult to challenge a strong film like ‘Pushpa 2’.

Budget of ‘Baby John’, there is still a chance in the future

This is not much as per today’s times. In such a situation, the film still has a chance, as it has got an extended first weekend of five days. People will definitely be a little busy due to New Year’s Eve, but if the film impresses those who do not have any plans with friends and family, then it can move ahead on the path of becoming a hit in the coming days.

‘Pushpa 2’ became the first choice of the audience on Christmas

Allu Arjun’s mega-blockbuster ‘Pushpa 2 – The Rule’ once again remained the first choice of the audience at the Hindi box office on Christmas day. On the 21st day of its release, it has made a net collection of Rs 15.00 crore from the Hindi version.

While combining all the five languages, it has done a business of Rs 19.75 crore on Wednesday. Now the way ‘Baby John‘ has received response, there are no signs of much decrease in the earnings of ‘Pushpa 2’ in future.

‘Pushpa 2’ now crosses 1100 crores in the country

‘Pushpa 2’ has now made a net collection of Rs 1109.85 crores in the country in 21 days. Out of this, the maximum earnings of Rs 716.65 crores have come from Hindi, while the Telugu version has earned Rs 316.30 crores.
