Poco X7 Series, featuring an IP68 build, set to launch in India next month

 

The Poco X7 series is gearing up to make its debut in India next month, set to succeed the Poco X6 series. While the new series will bring some exciting updates, it will not include a “Neo” variant, as confirmed by Poco India Head Himanshu Tandon. The Poco X7 series is expected to feature two variants—the standard Poco X7 and the Poco X7 Pro—both of which are expected to showcase impressive specs and design elements that will make them stand out in the competitive mid-range smartphone market.

Poco X7 Series India Launch Details

 

Poco has announced that the Poco X7 series will officially launch in India on January 9, 2025, at 5:30 PM IST. The series will be available for purchase exclusively on Flipkart, as revealed through the brand’s promotional materials. Given the success of its previous models, there’s high anticipation surrounding the new series, with several consumers eager to see how it performs compared to the Poco X6 series and other competitors in the same price range.

The series will consist of two key models: the Poco X7 and Poco X7 Pro. While Poco’s Neo variants have been part of their previous releases, the company has decided not to launch a Neo variant in this iteration. This could suggest a shift in the company’s strategy, focusing on more distinct differences between the base and Pro models, rather than providing a third variant.

Specifications and Features

The Poco X7 series is expected to come equipped with some notable upgrades compared to its predecessors, ensuring that both the base and Pro versions deliver top-tier performance and features.

The base Poco X7 will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Ultra chipset, while the Pro version will get a more powerful MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra SoC. This model will also feature an incredibly bright peak brightness of 3,200 nits, ensuring clear visibility even under direct sunlight, a feature that could be a standout in this category.

In terms of photography, the Poco X7 and X7 Pro are expected to pack impressive camera setups. The standard Poco X7 is rumored to sport a 50-megapixel primary camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) for better low-light performance and smoother video recording.
