The most special thing is that this mythological film was not produced by any Indian but by a Japanese filmmaker Yugo Sako. He came to India in 1983 and was working on a documentary on Lord Rama, when his interest in Ramayana grew and he thought of making a film on it.

Ram Mohan, who is also the director of the film, is credited with starting animation in India. He started his career with Cartoon Films Unit and has amazed people with his animation skills in more than 100 films. He has also won many titles including the National Award.
