Black Warrant is a gripping series set in Tihar Jail, India’s largest prison, but the show quickly establishes that its size is not the focus; rather, it’s the grim realities that unfold within. The story begins in 1981, portraying a smaller yet already notorious version of the infamous facility on the outskirts of Delhi. Central to the plot is the character of Sunil Gupta (played by Zahan Kapoor), a young recruit trying to navigate the morally murky waters of prison life while holding on to his ideals.
